About the Role

The Training Officer role is an exciting opportunity to join an existing team of trainers who support the delivery of a variety of qualifications. The delivery model is undertaking many changes and we are looking for a creative and initiative applicant to support this development. The successful applicant will be friendly and have good communication skills, enthusiastic and willing to adapt to change. You will work as part of the team and also be expected to work independently managing your own time.

In your role you will:

  • Mentor and train learners within Early Years up to Level 4, including on a one to one basis in a classroom environment.
  • Mentor and train learners from a scope of Early Years including childminding and and Advanced Practitioner, Play work, Supporting Teaching and Learning, Business Administration, Customer Service and Leadership and Management qualifications
  • Coordinate Initial Assessment of learners needs
  • Coordinate retention of learners on programme and ensure timely completion and high success rates
  • Ensure quality systems and procedures comply with contracts
  • Produce management information for reporting purposes
  • Design and deliver training to support the training needs of learners and employers and contractual requirements
  • Engage with employers and market Children’s Links training courses
  • Carry out Health and Safety Site Audit Visits
  • Support the Training team

Essential requirements for the role :

  • Experience of working in early years, childcare or education.
  • A Teaching qualification e.g PTTLS, Award in Education, PGCE, QTS
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Computer literate
  • Recent training experience
