The support service aims to promote the benefits and awareness of the children's centres and to provide
activities in hard to reach rural areas.
It consists of:
Early years sessions within Children's Centres
Sessions include messy play, movers and shakers, stay and play, Dad's club, young parents club and PEEP sessions. Sessions currently run in Hemswell Cliff, Welton, Market Rasen, Caistor and Gainsborough with new children's centres due to be added shortly.
Outreach work
The outreach service sees early years staff visiting rural communities to deliver and support regular sessions as above. The service also has use of the Real bus to enable communities with out any public venues to benefit from the service.
Parent and carers participation
The participation service encourages parents and carers to have a voice and to help their local children's centre to meet the communities needs through new parent forums. Training is available to help parents and carers to effectively contribute in meetings.
Parent champions
The champions work with in the community raising awareness of the services provided at the children's
centres.
